What Morfiply does.
Everything on this page is in the product today, in the order a week runs. It works for one store or several: every store lives in one account with its own team, rules, and week.
Availability
Each person marks their own week from their phone. You see who has answered and who has not, and the schedule is built only from what they marked.
- Three states, in half-hour cells
- Available, if needed, or unavailable. Unavailable time is never scheduled.
- Usual weeks
- A person's regular week carries forward on its own. It can have named versions with start dates, and every-other-week patterns.
- Time off and exceptions
- Requested by the person, approved by you, and kept in one place.
- Request board
- A deadline, a list of who has not answered, and a reminder you can copy and send. Anyone who does not answer gets their usual week.
- Import
- A setup wizard for hours, rules, and roster, and a CSV import for the availability you already have.
Staffing needs and priorities
You tell Morfiply what the week needs and what matters most to you. Every schedule is scored against those two things.
- Needs by the half hour
- Set how many people you need at each time of day, or enter the customers you expect and let Morfiply work out the staffing.
- Templates and memory
- Start from a template for your kind of store. Recent weeks are remembered, and a tagged week, like a holiday weekend, keeps its own shape.
- Four priorities
- Coverage, labor cost, fairness, and team preferences. Change one and solve again.
- Standing rules
- Someone with keys at every open and close, a minimum number on the floor, and a floor and ceiling on each person's hours.
- Coverage check
- Before you solve, each day shows whether it can be covered and by how much it falls short.
The solve
Morfiply considers every week your rules allow, scores each one against your priorities, and returns the best. The same inputs always produce the same schedule.
- Rules that always hold
- Nobody is scheduled when they are unavailable. The floor never drops below your minimum. Hours stay inside each person's limits. One unbroken shift a day at most.
- Pin and solve again
- Keep the shifts you like, or freeze whole days, and the engine rebuilds the rest around them.
- Stability
- Turn it on and this week stays close to last week unless there is a reason to change. Every schedule shows how close it stayed.
- Overtime as a price
- Set a threshold and a cost. Overtime is used only when it is the cheapest way to cover, and the cost is counted.
Review and edit
Every solved week comes with a receipt and an explanation of why it has its shape. You can overrule any of it.
- Week receipt
- Understaffed and overstaffed hours, if-needed time used, each person's hours against what they expected, and how many shifts you changed by hand.
- Plain-English explanation
- Why the week looks the way it does, and where the tradeoffs sit.
- Labor estimate
- A planned labor cost on every schedule before you publish, built from each person's base wage, with the arithmetic shown. It is an estimate of planned wages, not payroll.
- Hand edits
- Move or change any shift, working by day, by person, on a calendar, or against coverage.
- Versions
- Published versions are kept, and any two can be compared.
Publishing
One version of the week goes to everyone at once, and you can see who has opened it.
- A page for each person
- Their own shifts for the week and who they are working with, on their phone.
- Calendar feed
- Shifts appear on the calendar each person already uses.
- Read receipts
- Who has opened the schedule, and when.
- What changed
- Publish again and see exactly what moved for each person before it goes out.
- Share and export
- A share link for the team, plus print, PDF, PNG, CSV, and a wall schedule.
