About Morfiply

Our founder grew up around a national franchise business. Every Sunday night, someone sat down in the back room and built the schedule by hand: who could work, who needed hours, and what Friday would look like. All of that information lived in a group chat, a planner, or the manager's head.

The people building those schedules were sharp. The problem was the size of the job. A ten-person store has more possible weeks than anyone could ever check, and every choice changes every choice after it. That is the kind of problem a chess engine solves. It searches the tree of possibilities, scores what it finds, and keeps the best line. Airlines schedule crews this way, and hospitals schedule nurses this way.

Ten years ago, it took an enterprise analytics team to solve even the most basic version of this problem. Today it runs on a cheap cloud server, while most stores are still using a spreadsheet and a group chat. After years in revenue analytics and data science, our founder rebuilt and repurposed that engine for your store.

Underneath the schedule is data nobody collects. Every system in this industry records attendance, meaning when people worked. Morfiply records availability, meaning when people were willing to work, week after week and store after store. Attendance tells you what happened. Availability tells you what was possible. You need both to ask what you should have done and what to do next.

Morfiply is built by a small team of engineers with more than a decade of software development experience. Between us, we have worked at Google, Figma, TD Bank, and Capital One, and studied at Harvard, NYU, and Rice.

We are close to the problem. Morfiply started with someone who grew up watching the schedule get made by hand, and it is built for the people who still make it that way.
